An enhanced version, titled Bloody Roar: Primal Fury (also known as Bloody Roar Extreme), was released both for the GameCube on Maand for the Xbox on May 27, 2003.
It was later ported to the PlayStation 2 on Main Japan (by Hudson Soft), on Jin North America (by Activision), and on Augin Europe (by Virgin). The sequel to Bloody Roar II, Bloody Roar 3 features higher-quality graphics and new gameplay mechanics (such as mid-air combos and a more-powerful one-use 'Hyper Beast Mode' transformation). Bloody Roar 3 is a 3D fighting game developed and released by Hudson Soft and Eighting for arcades (using PS2-based Namco System 246 hardware) exclusively in Japan on December 2000.
